Alade Aminu

Cangrejeros de Santurce (BSN) added to their roster experienced 34-year old Nigerian ex-international power forward Alade Aminu (207cm-102kg-1987, college: Georgia Tech). Aminu just played at Chemidor in Iranian Superleague. In 13 games he had very impressive stats: 15.6ppg, 9.4rpg, 1.0apg and 1.8spg last season. The last summer he played at Atleticos in Puerto Rican BSN where in 30 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 17.8ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.0apg and 1.0spg.
In 2009 (2009 years after his graduation) he was drafted by Fort Wayne Mad Ants (D-League) in first round (10th overall).
He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
Aminu has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2013.
He also represented Nigeria at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) six years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 9.2ppg, 4.0rpg, FGP: 52.8%, FT: 66.7%.
Aminu is quite experienced player. Aminu's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in ten different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. Aminu has played previously professionally in France (Chalon/Saor and JSF Nanterre), Israel (Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Eilat), Italy, Lebanon (Al Riyadi), Poland (Twarde Pierniki), Spain (Bilbao), Turkey (Pinar Karsiyaka, TED Ankara and Bandirma), NBA (Miami Heat) and NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks).
